The Umami food and art festival opens Tuesday at 7pm with a water tasting, followed by Mimi Oka and Doug Fitch’s performance piece, Orphic Memory Sausage. They instantly became my new favourite artists when I visited their studio last autumn for food and fine art class. I admit to aspire to achieve some of their greatness.
