French benefits

When ‘the French’ arrived for lil’sis’ wedding, they brought with them des rillettes et du andouille for Monsieur et moi to enjoy. These make for a delicious, though not the heart-healthiest, and simple meal. A glass of red wine, some cornichons, and crackers or baguette. A ripe pear to finish, to aid in digestion and cut some of the fat. But this is not the meal for vegetarians, or pig- or fat-averse.
