The Mexican comer at a little hole-in-the wall in Beacon was easily on par with San Francisco comer. Though there were no nopales or chile rellenos on the menu. Next time perhaps asking will bring forth these treats. The kitchen seemed accommodating like that.
The rice was fluffy, a bit toothy and just a hint of sweet. The beans were smooth without being fully refried. The seasonings weren’t very spicy, mild enough for the typical gringa’s palette. Today, I enjoyed the flavours just as they were and left the hot sauce in its place at the table’s edge.
Buen provecho y bon nuit..
